FAQs from our BetaTesters
Q: Dirk asks: What kind of business/topic do you have to run in order for PR's to be relevant? What if you don't have "news"?
A: Marc’s reply: Hi Dirk and you hit on two big ones there! First, you can do web PR for any topic, any subject. The key is making sure that topic gets enough searches in the search engines. A good barometer is 10,000 searches in a month when you do keyword research via http://inventory.overture.com
Secondly, if you don’t have news, create it! My program shows you 8 ways to create news when you don’t have any. I’ll give you one way…piggyback on a current event.
Q: Neil asks: What is RSS?
A: Marc’s reply: RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. This is a method of distribution that many of the web PR service providers use. You’ll also see RSS used with blogs.
Q: Dave B. asks: Is there an affiliate program available?
A: Marc’s reply: Hi Dave. Not yet but one will be added in a few weeks.
Q: Mike J. asks: I need someone to do this for me, can you help?
A: Marc’s reply: Hi Mike. With my speaking schedule and product development commitments, I don’t accept client work. I can recommend some good resources that are trained in my system though. Send me an email to marcATPRtrafficDOTcom (protecting myself against spam harvesters here.)
Q: Is PR Traffic a software tool?
A: No there is no software involved. PR Traffic is a step-by-step process using tools you’re already familiar with like creating a word doc or completing a web form.
Q: Writing isn’t one of my strengths. I’ve never written a press release. How can PR Traffic help me?
A: You don’t need to be an expert writer. There are proven formulas for writing headlines, your press release, even how to craft your media room page. In fact, following my formula will give you an advantage over 99% of press releases that appear today.
Q: Is it absolutely necessary to have a web site to benefit from PR Traffic?
A: It’s not mandatory but it is HIGHLY suggested. If you don’t have a web site yet, here’s how PR Traffic can still work for you. You submit your press release. It appears on a web page of the distribution provider you use like PRweb.com. In your press release, you can put they can contact you by phone or email.
Q: I’m an advanced Internet marketer and some of your info seems more appropriate for newbies. What do you have that can help people like me?
A: Video Tutorials #4 and #5 give you lots of insider secrets on testing, tracking and conversion as well as underground distribution strategies, attachment secrets and more.
Q: How long will it take me to get up to speed and sending out press releases?
A: There is a lot of content to review—5 video CDs, 6 audio CDs, and a lot of print material. Here’s what I recommend: dive into the CheatSheets. There’s one for each step of the process as well as for advanced techniques. They’re only 1 page front and back and you should be able to read and absorb those in minutes.
Q: How do I know if my news release was successful?
A: You can log into your account with the service provider you used to distribute your release and check our stats. In addition, I’d recommend doing manual searches in the news search engines (Google News, Yahoo! News, etc.) using your keyword phrase in quotes and see what kind of rankings you’re getting.
Q: Who sends out my press release?
A: A wire service distribution provider. Examples of these companies include: PRweb.com, PRleap.com, 24-7pressrelease.com and several others.
Q: Can you recommend any free press release distribution services?
A: Many of the providers offer free distribution but you get what you pay for. I recommend at a BARE minimum investing $30-$40 per release and higher depending on your needs. If you follow my system, you’ll get clicks for months and months, which will bring down your overall cost to pennies a click.
Q: What if I follow everything you say and I don’t get any media inquiries? What did I do wrong?
A: So, you follow my system and no reporters contact you. All that means is they haven’t found you—yet. What’s more, your press release will live on hundreds, even thousands of other sites. That means the other audience, the robotic one (the search engines) found you.
